Here Michael is helping the gardenia grow by giving it a little extra water.

Here are some of our little plants that grew from seeds...

Duncan enjoys some ice cream on a hot afternoon

More spring stuff - flowers. These are Michael's sunflowers - with real sunflower seeds in the middle. Again, not a keeper. The cup has seeds in it - hope they grow. Actually our seeds in the garden were doing very well - will have to take a picture. I was so proud - Michael did some painting and didn't put the paintbrush in his mouth like a few other kids.

More artwork. The theme is SPRING and this week the topic is birds...we made a bird's nest with shredded wheat and cotton balls. The painting was done with feathers. The next we won't keep - but it was cool!

Here we are at the petting area - lots of baby goats were there - so cute!!! One of the people on the ride didn't finish all their food - so I asked if we could have it (they were going to leave it on the cart!!!). The goats were very happy we brought it to them - they were hungry goats!!
After this we washed our hands, had a snack and played at the playground. It was a fun day!!!

Some animals will eat off your hand, some animals just open their mouth and you toss the food in - like this Scottish buffalo. Big mouth

Here we are on the wagon - and our friend Jennier went with her daughter Jesse and their friend Dryden. It was Jennifer who noticed Michael's shoe missing and got it - Thanks Jennifer!!!

Here is Luther the white rhino - he is in an enclosure because it is safer for everyone else. Michael lost his shoe while we were looking at him (not in the enclosure) and so we delayed the group just a couple more minutes. After we got the shoe off we were to see more animals.

They drive right up to the giraffes and you can hold your bucket up and the reach over. Such amazing animals. They are in an enclosure since some of the trees in the area are poisonous to them.

We went to the Lazy 5 Ranch - so much fun!! Michael was feedling the animals mostly by

tossing the food on the ground - he wasn't ready for them to eat out of his hand.

Bryan got Michael some big chalk to go with all the little chalk - so we are busy drawing pictures, letters, shapes and numbers.

We also planted some flowers in the front yard...

Our other gardenia is just starting to bloom - here is 1 flower up close

I think filling up the spa was more fun than cleaning it!

We also cleaned the spa - Michael was a big help!!

Bryan also trimmed the river birch trees - gives a whole new look to the garden

Bryan planted some gardenia bushes - hope they grow as well as the others.

Michael modeling his new bathing suit - because the shirts are so tight I got him a few sizes bigger - as you an tell by the pants...but with the spf it is a good thing for him to be more covered.

This week's theme was bugs - a little icky for me - but the butterfly was cute. The other bugs are just stickers, mostly hidden under the leaves. Stickers are much better in the house than the real thing!!

Art class - the theme was flowers. The big blue blobs were supposed to be hand prints but when I asked Michael if he wanted me to paint his hand he looked at me like I was CRAZY!!! So he just painted what he wanted to paint. The other children's stuff did look cute.
